Styling Sneakers
Alyssa Walls
Sneakers are probably the best, and most common shoe to style. They are comfortable and perfect for any lifestyle. Thankfully, sneakers are also very much acceptable in the fashion world, and there are lots of different styles. They are even making work out sneakers more appealing!

I decided to style my favorite sneakers with a casual dress, just to show you how versatile sneakers can be. You can style them with really anything you want, denim, dresses, skirts, shorts. You name it. These rose gold sneakers are my absolute favorite, I am a sucker for anything rose gold and Adidas Superstars are a classic shoe that everyone should have in their closet! They come in many colors and look great with everything. They run very big, I ended up getting a size 6, when I am usually a 7.5. I would recommend going into a store and trying them on, but if that is not possible, order several sizes and return what doesn't fit!
I love how the black and white stripes look with the rose gold on the shoes, and I threw on a denim vest to give more of a casual vibe. I decided to pair my favorite pink bag to help bring out the pink in the shoes. This outfit is one of my favorites because I feel stylish and put together yet I am comfortable enough for my mom life!

One of my favorite things to do with any outfit, is to mix up pieces from different styles. I.e. pairing casual with dressy, edgy with girly, classic with trendy. So, one of my favorite ways to wear sneakers is with a dress or skirt.
The biggest tip I can give for wearing sneakers is to make sure a little leg is show between the hem your pants (or dress, skirt, whatever) and the top of your sneakers. So, if wearing them with jeans, roll the hem up a little to create a more flattering look. You can of course wear sneakers with flare jeans, in which case you do not have to do that step, but I honestly think there are better shoe choices for flare jeans. Other than that, you can really wear sneakers with anything.
Pair them with denim and a t shirt to keep things simple. Pair them with a dress and a denim jacket or vest, like I did here. Wear some high tops with leather shorts and a blouse, for an edgier look. Wear them with midi skirts, mini skirts, chino pants, leather leggings, cargo skinnies.
