Transitioning your wardrobe to spring can be tough, especially if you live in a state that is cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon. Or even better, teases you with Spring warmth and sunshine and then dumps a big heavy snow on you. Yeah, I'm not bitter Colorado, not at all.
My biggest tip for transitioning to warmer weather is to style your looks with a spring friendly sweater. Think lighter weight, 3/4 sleeves, or cold shoulder. These sweaters will help keep you warm when needed but also aren't so intense that you are dying by mid day. This sweater is absolutely perfect for spring, it is so soft and the powder blue color is the perfect spring hue. Not to mention it is on sale for under $30!!! Hurryyy and snag it because it will sell out!
Another tip is to wear lighter colors. I am all for blacks, browns, deep burgundies, and lush royal blues. But once the sun starts to warm up my days, I am craving those pretty light blues, pinks, lavenders, and creams! These light blue distressed denim and blush heels were perfect for tying this spring friendly look together. I've linked other spring colored shoe options below. I know a lot of you like to have non heel options! (Sorry, I have a love affair with heels! ;)A
Aren't these jeans amazing?!?! I am trying to get my hands on some to stock in my boutique - stay tuned! For now, I have linked similar pairs below!
When transitioning to a spring wardrobe my two biggest tips are, stick with spring friendly sweaters and lighter colors. You can of course mix light and dark pieces, but try to add some lighter, spring colors in your look!
Do you have any sweaters, cardigans, or jackets that just aren't warm enough for winter but would be too much in the summer? Those are the perfect pieces for transitioning to spring!
