This may be hard to believe, but 5 years ago, you would never see me in heels! I did not even appreciate or understand the love of shoes until right about that time. I'm not sure what changed, but I slowly began to wear heels, we're talking a 1" block heel, ladies! I remember the Sam Edelman Petty being the very first ankle boot I owned. I was in love the moment I got them in the mail!
I was like a baby fawn when it came to wearing heels. I just didn't know how to walk in them, and there was no way you'd ever catch me wearing a pump! I remember the first time I tried a pair, it was for my husband's work Christmas party. I had a gorgeous green fitted midi dress, with a black velvet design (I sold it a few years back on Poshmark, and I am now regretting it!!). Anyways, I was beginning to appreciate the power of shoes, and I knew a simple black pump would be my best option. Oh, you should have seen me! Struggling to keep up with my husband and the friends we had gone with as we walked the few blocks to our venue in downtown Denver! It was so embarrassing! Needless to say, I did a whole lot of sitting at that party!
As I began to grow more brave with shoes, there was only one place I could find that offered cute shoes with a low-mid heel. That site was Sole Society! They had soo many cute options with a heel I could actually wear, I was in heaven! And so began my love for Sole Society. I can not tell you how much I appreciated their variety in shoes, as well as bags and accessories. Now that I am way more comfortable in heels, and have even worn up to a 4", I still love Sole Society and the trends they offer! Today I'm bringing you two of my favorite pieces from there, and I've got quite a few!
It was L.O.V.E at first sight with these side knot booties! They are a super soft, reddish brown suede, with the cutes side knot details. I had a hard time deciding on which color to get, as they also come in black and a more neutral tan. I am very happy with the color I chose, it is gorgeous and pairs so well with pretty much everything! The shaft is perfect height to tuck into jeans or wear with a dress, and the heel is flattering while also being comfortable. One of my favorite bootie purchases ever!
Also, we must talk about this bucket bag! The color gives me all the heart eyes. It is absolutely gorgeous in its rich hue of wine! I've been wanting to try the bucket bag trend, and this leather beauty is the perfect size for me to throw in some baby/toddler necessities, perfect for every day use.
I decided to let the boots and bag be the statement pieces, and kept with the color scheme of browns, Burgundy, and black, by adding a simple black sweater and this leopard print beanie.
As always, I have linked all my outfit details below, (and similar pieces) as well as lots of different styles from Sole Society! Most, if not all, come in several colors, too!
If you are like I was and unsure how to wear heels or nervous about the height issue, head to Sole Society and you will bee sure to find a pair of heels with a low to mid height for you to try out! This was how I started, and I was able to work my way up!
If you are like I am now and a complete lover of all things shoes, head to Sole Society! Their variety is a shoe lovers heaven, and their prices are very reasonable! I have never been disappointed in a Sole Society purchase!
